Pillgwenlly Primary School are looking to appoint a school support officer to join our admin team in a busy school office. This position is offered on a permanent basis to start as soon as possible.
Pillgwenlly Primary School has very recently moved into a brand-new building. The new school serves a multicultural and multilingual community in the heart of a diverse inner-city community within Newport, South Wales and enjoys excellent facilities which benefit the pupils and supports community engagement. This extensive three-form entry school provides education for children aged 3 to 11 years and has a 20-place generic Additional Learning Needs Resource Base. The school is within the John Frost cluster of primary schools.
We are looking for someone with experience of working in a customer facing role with excellent interpersonal skills. A warm and friendly manner is essential and the ability to remain calm under pressure will be a key attribute that is required. You must be able to be flexible and be able to prioritise key tasks within the school day.
If successful you can expect to work as part of a highly supportive team who work together to support a wide range of diverse needs across the school. You will have access to bespoke support both within school and if necessary from outside of the school to enable you to thrive in your role.
