We are currently looking to recruit a school support worker to work in our amazing school.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
The post holder will be responsible for working alongside Tutors in supporting the needs of the pupils.
Be responsible for assisting the Tutors at break and lunch time, which includes setting up the snack and lunch hall; assisting the pupils during this time and cleaning up at the end of the sessions.
Support pupils in their personal care pupils either independently or under the direction of a member of teaching staff needs, ensuring good standards of pupils' personal hygiene are maintained.
Prepare learning materials and resources for the pupils under the support and direction of Teachers and Tutors.
Provide a clean and safe environment for the school community, maintaining the standards of the school facilities at all times. (this could include clearing up toileting accidents or behaviour/ medical issues. At times this can include bodily fluids which can sometimes occur as a challenging behaviour)
Contribute to the daily running of the school and assisting with tasks as directed by line manager. Such tasks could include the signing in and out of pupil medication and making pupil timetables using ICT.
Adapting support according to the needs of the school.
Undergo statutory training such as safeguard, online safety and health and safety training. Undergo additional training in related areas as required.
