Job Description

The position is to transport Children to/from schools as well as other jobs as required. The position would be PAYE paid at 12.21 per hour and we are offering 20-30 hours a week (Term-time only) Overtime can be agreed if the need arises. To work as a taxi driver you would need the appropriate licence issued by the local authority, we will help you to obtain your taxi badge and all associated training/checks.

The Role:

- Ensuring the safe travel of the school children and passengers in general.

- Following the safety guidelines set out by the company and the councils transport department.

- Being available for the school runs AM/PM Monday - Friday (Term time)

- Being professional at all times and building relationships with the relevant stakeholders.

Requirements for the job:

- Be aged 25 years or older (for insurance purposes) & have held a full licence for at least a year (licensing requirement)

- No more than 3 points on your licence (we may take people with 6 points under consideration but it is at our discretion). We will not consider any applicants with the following endorsements on their licence (Any applications made with these offences will be instantly rejected).

Driving whilst on a mobile phone

Driving under the influence of Recreational/unprescribed Drugs and/or Alcohol

- You will need to be able to pass an enhanced DBS (Police) check

- Have the right to work in the UK

- You will need to be able to pass a Group 2 medical

- The confidence & ability to drive the vehicles in our fleet such as Wheelchair accessible vehicles, 5-seaters, 6-seaters and 8-seaters (MANUAL / AUTOMATIC).
