Science Teacher - Full-Time, Long-Term
Location: Bushey
Salary: 33,000 - 45,000 (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
We're partnering with a well-respected secondary school in Watford, known for its strong academic track record, inclusive ethos, and supportive learning environment.
The school is currently looking for a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2025. This position is open to both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about making science accessible, exciting, and relevant to all learners.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Teaching Science to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, with a preference for a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Delivering interactive, hands-on lessons that promote curiosity and scientific thinking
Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore and ask questions
Assessing work, providing meaningful feedback, and tracking student progress
Contributing to curriculum development and resource creation
Supporting students through GCSE preparation, including coursework and revision sessions
Encouraging involvement in extracurricular science activities and STEM projects
Participating in school life and engaging with the wider community
Who We're Looking For:
Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (preferred, though strong unqualified candidates may be considered)
Experience teaching Science at the secondary level
Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education
Creative, engaging, and student-focused teaching style
Strong classroom management and the ability to foster a supportive learning environment
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
