Job Purpose

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that foster curiosity and academic excellence in Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons tailored to a range of learning needs

Teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including GCSE Science (Combined or Triple) Set and uphold high expectations for student behaviour, effort, and achievement Monitor and assess student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback and interventions Contribute to the development and implementation of the Science curriculum Maintain strong subject knowledge aligned with the national curriculum and GCSE specifications Participate in assessment, reporting, and parent engagement evenings Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and raise standards across the department Support and lead extracurricular Science or STEM activities Keep accurate records in accordance with school policies Engage in CPD and professional reviews as part of ongoing development
Person Specification

Essential:

A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) A degree in Science or a relevant subject Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4 Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science High expectations for all learners regardless of background or ability Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills A commitment to professional growth and development A willingness to support and uphold the Islamic values and ethos of the school
Desirable:

Experience in a faith-based or independent school setting Familiarity with Islamic values and respect for the school's ethos A track record of improving student outcomes, particularly at GCSE level
