Teach South is seeking an enthusiastic and organised
Science Technician
to join a thriving secondary school in the Hastings area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about science and education to play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning within the school's Science Department.
As a Science Technician, you will be responsible for preparing practical materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient laboratory environment. You'll work closely with science teachers to support experiments and demonstrations across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and set up materials, equipment, and resources for science lessons and practicals.
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all health and safety standards are met.
Assist teachers and students during practical sessions where needed.
Order and manage stock of laboratory supplies.
Support the smooth running of the Science Department through administrative and technical assistance.
About You
A strong interest in science and education.
Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in a similar technician role or a relevant science qualification is desirable but not essential.
