About the School

About the role
The school wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Science Technician to provide technical support for the Science Department.
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, vision, resilience and strong interpersonal skills to join the team. The Science department is an area of excellence at William Ellis School. We have always been very fortunate to have all three sciences very well represented in the specialisms of the teaching staff.
The successful candidate will provide assistance to the Science teaching Staff as follows:To ensure science laboratories and prep rooms are maintained to comply with Health and Safety requirements and safety checks as detailed in relevant check lists.
To be aware and regularly updated on Health and Safety regulations to check that Risk Assessments are carried out in prep rooms and workshops.
To be aware of the School Health and Safety Policy and the implementation of the Science Department Safety Policy.
Preparation, maintenance and safe storage of apparatus both for demonstration and practical work in the courses taken in the school or department.
