Job Description

Just Learn are looking for a Science tutor to tutor a yr 11 learner in the ME7 2LP area. The learner requires 1-2 hours of tuition a week (preferably any weekday after 1pm).

Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring in science.

- Assess students' learning needs and develop personalised lesson plans to address their specific areas of improvement.
- Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes student participation and success.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies and resources to enhance students' understanding of the subject matter.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and their parents or guardians.
- Collaborate with other educators and professionals to ensure the holistic development of students.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including attendance, progress reports, and any relevant documentation.

Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents or carers, and colleagues.
- Experience working with students of different ages and backgrounds, including special education.
- Proficient in lesson planning and curriculum development based on individual student needs.
- Ability to manage a classroom or tutoring session effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Excellent organizational skills to keep track of student progress, materials, and resources.

The tutor must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update System or be willing to pay towards the cost of one.
