Job Overview

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Science Tutors to provide academic support and guidance to students of various ages and learning abilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with a particular focus on fostering a positive learning environment. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with children and making an impact.

Please note individuals hired for this role must be able to

commute to 548 Ley St, IG2 7DB

and must live within a 30 minute commute of our centre.

Academic requirements:

For GCSE Science Tutors:

Must have a Grade 7 or above in GCSE Science subjects and must be able to tutor up to GCSE Triple Higher level. Must be able to tutor different exam boards (mainly AQA, Edexcel and OCR).

For A-level Science Tutors

: Must have a Grade A minimum in the A-level Science you wish to tutor.

Responsibilities

Deliver tailored tutoring sessions to meet the individual needs of students in a 1-1 or small group setting of up to six students Develop engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly Provide support in various subjects, ensuring comprehension and retention of material Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff regarding progress and areas for improvement Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance

Experience

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children Strong understanding of special education practices is highly desirable Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to build rapport with students and create a motivating learning environment Patience, empathy, and adaptability to cater to diverse learning styles If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in students' lives through education, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity as a Tutor.
