About the Role




In this role, you will help increase the value of UCB's early research portfolio by discovering and progressing new therapeutic molecules. You will design and run translational in vitro assays, analyse high dimensional datasets, and contribute scientific insights that guide candidate selection and understanding of patient subpopulations.

Who You'll Work With




You will work closely with project teams, fellow immunologists, data scientists, and crossfunctional partners. You will present findings internally and externally, share high quality datasets, and contribute to scientific decision making across multiple programs.

What You'll Do



Develop biologically relevant assays that accurately model disease mechanisms and therapeutic action. Employ diverse laboratory techniques to generate high quality screening and mechanistic data. Analyse complex multi?omic datasets using modern computational tools and pipeline approaches. Present scientific findings clearly across cross?functional scientific forums and project meetings. Maintain up?to?date experimental documentation to ensure compliance and scientific traceability. Review scientific literature regularly to identify new technologies and improve workflows. Contribute to integrating emerging scientific methods into ongoing research programs. Mentor junior scientists by sharing expertise and supporting skill development when appropriate. Ensure all work involving human tissue meets ethical and HTA regulatory requirements. Promote safe laboratory practices and uphold UCB health, safety, and compliance standards.

Interested? We're looking for:



PhD with postdoctoral experience in immunology or related field. Strong in vitro assay experience and broad immunological knowledge. Ability to analyse large datasets using R, Python, or similar tools. Experience with spatial transcriptomics is an advantage Excellent communication, teamwork, and scientific presentation skills. Ability to learn quickly and work effectively across evolving biological themes.
