Part-Time Seamstress

Hours: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (including 1-hour lunch break)

Duration: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Seamstress/factory operative with a background in manufacturing or production environments to join our team. This role involves sewing-related tasks, general cleaning, and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. The ideal candidate will be flexible, hands-on, and willing to take on a variety of duties to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate sewing machines for SEG graphics, alterations, and repairs, ensuring high quality standards

Work with a variety of fabrics and materials, adhering to production specifications.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning and tidying workspace and equipment regularly.

Assist with shop floor cleaning duties to ensure health and safety standards are met.

Support the team with general factory duties, including inventory management, stock organization, and light administrative tasks.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and improve workflow.

Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines and other equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Be flexible to take on additional roles as needed, including supporting administrative and cleaning tasks.

Requirements:

Proven experience working in a factory, manufacturing, or production environment.

Sewing skills is essential; a willingness to learn and assist with sewing tasks is important.

Comfortable operating industrial sewing machines and other factory equipment.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and cleanliness.

Reliable, adaptable, and proactive in taking on a variety of roles within the team.

Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
