We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will contribute to an exceptional experience for our patrons.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions regarding the menu. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including workstations, dining areas, and equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food preparation and beverage service. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management. Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for food preparation and an eagerness to learn about different coffee brewing techniques. Outstanding communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour towards customers.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: Up to 15.35 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 32 per week
