We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring the highest quality standards while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have about the menu. Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, placing orders as necessary. Operate coffee machines and equipment safely and efficiently, performing basic maintenance as required. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a balanced till. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Uphold high standards of customer service, creating a friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat business.

Skills

Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours. Experience in food preparation is advantageous, particularly in a cafe or restaurant setting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and team members alike.

Pay: 12.35 per hour
