Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves working outdoors to create and maintain beautiful gardens, ensuring that all plants are healthy and thriving. The Gardener will utilise both hand tools and power tools to perform various gardening tasks, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the landscape.

Responsibilities

Mulch, edge and weed gardens

Mow, trim and fertilise green spaces

Prune and trim trees and bushes

Plant and nurture new trees, plants and flowers

Monitor and maintain the health of plants, trees, flowers and lawns

Maintain all gardening equipment and machinery

Monitor and maintain water features

Maintain gravel paths and ditches

Maintain a clean garden by clearing rubbish and litter from the grounds

Plant propagation including seed sowing and cuttings

Harvest fruit, vegetables and cut flowers

Experience

Previous experience in gardening or groundskeeping is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in gardening tasks. Knowledge of plant care, including irrigation techniques and soil management. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in an outdoor environment. Strong attention to detail with a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing landscapes.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 36.75 per week

Day shift Monday to Friday
