Seasonal General Assistant

We now have a number of part-time Seasonal General Assistant positions available at Busy Bee Garden Centrefor over our busy Christmas period.

Are you an enthusiastic and friendly individual with a passion for retail and providing excellent customer service? We are looking for Assistants to join our team at Busy Bee Garden Centre, Ryde, Isle of Wight. We have part-time seasonal positions available and are looking for hard-working, reliable people to help us deliver an exceptional experience to our customers.

Hours: Part-time hours available, including some weekend working.

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.

The Role

This is a busy and varied role that combines retail duties with hands-on work across all departments, both indoors and outdoors.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing friendly and knowledgeable advice to customers on our wide range of products, from plants and tools to gifts and sundries. Operating the tills and handling transactions with accuracy and care. Maintaining our high standards of visual merchandising and ensuring displays are attractive, well-stocked, and tidy. Assisting with all aspects of department work, as required. Helping customers carry and load heavy items into their cars.

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

Passionate about retail and willing to learn. Able to deliver outstanding customer service with a positive, can-do attitude. A reliable and flexible team player who can support colleagues across the centre. Comfortable with working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Organised, with good attention to detail.
