Job Description

We are looking to recruit two bubbly, well-motivated individuals to join our Retail team on a Seasonal basis, you would be working in the zoo's gift shop and/or our farm shop.



This is a customer facing position so you must have a friendly and professional manner, our ideal candidates will have a flair for providing outstanding customer service, along with till experience and an eye for attention to detail.

Some of your responsibilities will be (but not limited to):

Assisting customers with queries, taking payments and manage the tills.

Working alongside the Retail Manager in the smooth running of the gift shop on a daily basis.

Ensuring the gift shop is presentable and ready for opening on time and is always kept clean and hygienic.

Animal food production and stock levels are maintained for busy periods. This will require a level of physical fitness.


To deal with customer queries, politely and efficiently.

Serving ice-creams plus hot and cold drinks within our farm shop.

Tidy and clean tables and visitor areas in the farm shop.

About you:

A people-person, able to connect with people to build a rapport and engage with our customers.

Till trained and cash handling experience.

Capable of working efficiently under pressure.

Excellent communication skills.

Experience of working within a Visitor attraction sector preferred.

Must be aged 18+.

Driving licence.

Work Pattern:

To be discussed at interview stage, all we ask for is flexibility. Working days could include weekend days/bank holidays.

Salary

: You will be paid the National Minimum Wage for your age.
