Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food production
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and maintaining a positive working environment
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
Assist in menu planning and development to meet customer preferences and seasonal trends
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Train new staff members in food preparation, safety procedures, and service protocols
Experience
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience in a culinary context is highly desirable
Extensive knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Experience with menu development, food ordering, and inventory management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience serving customers directly is advantageous but not essential
