A snapshot of the day to day...

As Second Chef, you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in delivering consistently high standards.

Your role will involve overseeing food preparation for large banquets, weddings, conferences, breakfast and restaurant service.

You'll take responsibility for supervising junior chefs and kitchen porters, ensuring service runs efficiently, food quality is maintained, and hygiene standards are always met.

In the absence of the Head Chef, you'll confidently step up to lead the kitchen, manage service, and maintain standards, making this a hands-on and varied role within a high-volume hotel kitchen.

What do we need from you?

Experience with banqueting and event catering is highly desirable Good understanding of food safety regulations The ability to work calmly under pressure Good leadership, communication, and organisational skills A hands-on, team-focused approach with a passion for food quality

Qualifications:

Food Safety Level 2 (minimum)
