Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The Chef will play a vital role in inspiring the kitchen staff and delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Duties



Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service. Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards. Oversee food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and proper storage procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise kitchen operations. Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Train and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and promote teamwork within the kitchen. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils. Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.

Skills



Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant environment. Supervising experience with a strong ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Extensive culinary expertise with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure. Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff. Leadership qualities that foster a positive working environment and encourage professional development. Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable, along with serving experience to enhance guest satisfaction. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
