Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team at McManus Pubs in The Phipps. This role is vital in delivering high-quality food and excellent service, contributing to our mission of providing top-notch hospitality in a friendly community setting.

Responsibilities

Lead food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met. Supervise kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and maintaining a positive working environment. Oversee food safety procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs. Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect our pub's unique character. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Ensure guest satisfaction by delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in a busy kitchen environment. Strong food production and preparation skills. Excellent team management and leadership abilities. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Previous restaurant or pub kitchen experience. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Passion for culinary arts and hospitality. Good communication skills.
