We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety regulations
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high performance levels
Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals to service areas
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, complying with health and safety standards
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary techniques
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for procurement of ingredients
Serve food to customers when required, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and hospitality
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
Experience in food production and restaurant operations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene standards
Previous experience in culinary roles with a focus on innovation and quality assurance is preferred
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent are advantageous
