Housman Court are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our culinary team in the role of Second cook. This position involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards Assist with food presentation to ensure dishes are visually appealing Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management Support team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth operation Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold hygiene standards Assist with meal preparation for special events

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a care home environment is preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team Passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings

You will be working to a 2 week rota which includes alternative weekends.

Pay: 12.71 per hour
