About the role:





The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) is seeking a dynamic and visionary
Secondary Teacher Mentor (Pre-service)
to lead the design and implementation of a new mentorship strategy for the Secondary Teacher Education Programme (STEP).



Working closely with the STEP Programme Leader and the wider Education Department, the postholder will develop innovative mentorship frameworks, CPD workshops, and mentor training programmes that support STEP students during their practicum placements. The role will also collaborate with international partners and the in-service mentorship structure to ensure coherence and excellence across the full teacher development journey.



This is an exciting opportunity for an educator passionate about teacher development, mentorship, and cross-cultural education to contribute to the IIS's global academic mission.


What we're looking for:


A Master's degree in Education, Islamic Studies/Muslim Societies, or a related field. Proven experience in teacher education, mentorship, or professional development. Strong understanding of curriculum alignment between academic study and practicum experience. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and inclusive approach. Experience designing and delivering high-quality mentorship or training programmes, ideally across diverse cultural or international contexts.
