Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable UK qualified Secondary Science Tutor to support students across various educational levels and subjects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in multiple disciplines, including mathematics, science, engineering, and computer science, and have experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and utilizing learning technology. This role involves working with diverse student populations, from early childhood to higher education, and requires excellent communication and classroom management skills. The Tutor will play a vital role in fostering academic growth, confidence, and enthusiasm for learning.

Duties



Plan and deliver tailored science lessons for KS3 and GCSE students Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs Provide clear explanations of complex scientific concepts Support students with revision strategies, exam preparation, and homework Maintain regular communication with parents and the TLC team Track student progress and contribute to resource development

Experience



Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience with KS3 and/or GCSE Science students

Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Proven ability to explain complex scientific concepts in a clear, student-friendly way Experience adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and academic levels Familiarity with UK national curriculum and GCSE exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) Comfortable using online platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet) and digital resources for remote tutoring Experience communicating with parents and tracking student progress is a plus Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one
