Secretary (insolvency)

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Secretary to join our Insolvency team. The role can be based from either our Newcastle, Teesside, Leeds or Manchester office.

What will I be doing



Working in conjunction with the fee earners, you'll organise and prioritise workloads on an ongoing basis, helping to maintain diaries and identify potential scheduling conflicts as and when they arise. Liaising and taking initial instructions from clients in relation to their matters, either via email or over the telephone. Raising invoices and liaising with our Finance team to produce financial reports and monitor financial performance. Arranging meetings and liaising with our Marketing and Events teams to arrange business development events as required. Assisting the fee earners with the preparation of Court Bundles, drafting documentation and conducting searches of public registers. Assisting with new client onboarding, matter opening, and initial client engagement.

You'll have



Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary, and you'll be keen to develop and learn additional legal skills. Great organisational and time management skills. You'll be efficient, capable of working to deadlines and able to use your initiative without being prompted. Excellent attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT packages.
