Job Description

Shareef Chartered Accountants, a reputable and well-established family run firm operating since 1996, is currently searching for a Secretary with Bookkeeping skills to welcome to our growing team. Now situated in Solihull, the firm has recently relocated to larger, modern offices in order to continue providing an excellent service to the expanding client base. Alongside traditional services such as accountancy, tax, auditing, payroll and VAT, the firm has built a strong reputation in forensic accounting, NCA/HMRC enquiries, fraud investigations and resolving complex tax issues.

For this role, we are seeking a candidate with prior experience in a professional environment who has attention to detail and is able to work as a part of a diverse team. Whilst bookkeeping experience and further knowledge of relevant software are ideal, training will be provided to ensure the successful candidate is comfortable with the systems in place at Shareef Chartered Accountants.

The primary responsibilities for this role include:



Handling phone calls + directing to appropriate team members Liaising with clients and HMRC Greeting visitors upon arrival Managing inbound and outbound post Scanning, filing and organising documents Scheduling of appointments and taking due care of meeting spaces Management of clients' records and logging in to filing system Assisting with general bookkeeping tasks; date entry, invoice processing- including use of Sage (training will be provided)

A minimum of two years secretarial or administrative experience and a fundamental understanding of MS Office (especially Outlook) are required.



Candidates should have:



A minimum of two years secretarial or administrative experience

Fundamental MS Office (especially Outlook) skills

Strong attention to detail and high-level organisation

Accurate spelling/grammar

An aptitude for customer service with excellent communication skills

Ability to manage time effectively and handle a variety of tasks at once in a fast paced environment
