Job Description
We are looking for a Section Engineer to work on a highways team for a major civil engineering project in East London
Key Responsibilities:
- Able to maintain high personal standards in health and safety and environmental awareness (CSCS, SSSTS)
- Understands the process of Organising/procuring plant and materials for drainage works
- Able to manage and coach Site Engineers
- Experience in a similar role or successful experience at Section Engineer level. Preferably with highways experience.
- Experience knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design
- Prepare monitoring and reporting progress against "look ahead" programmes. Able to produce short term programme.
- Completing quality assurance documentation and providing feedback to the team.
- Good communication skills.
- Sound knowledge in producing method statements, risk assessment, inspection and test plans etc.
- Gathering data, compiling comprehensive reports (site diaries, as-built, resources etc)
- Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
- Ability to carry out general construction site testing
- Has worked on a major highway upgrade recently as a Section Engineer
Has an HNC or higher in Civil Engineering or related subject
- Holds a valid CSCS card
- Has a full, clean driving license
