About the role (External)



What's the Role About?




As part of the MMT team, you'll support the Section Manager in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance and renewal work. You'll help supervise teams, carry out inspections, and ensure everything runs smoothly - all while working in a safer, more comfortable environment.


This is more than just a job - it's a chance to

, support your colleagues, and help shape how we deliver maintenance across the Wessex route.

What You'll Be Doing



Supervising and checking the quality of work to ensure it meets safety and engineering standards. Supporting the planning and delivery of maintenance and inspection activities. Helping to develop safe systems of work and method statements. Assisting with staff development, welfare, and performance monitoring. Contributing to asset renewal planning and resource allocation. Promoting a culture of safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Need



Experience supervising worksites and delivering safe, efficient work. Knowledge of maintenance planning, rail testing, and asset condition assessments. Strong communication and leadership skills. A commitment to safety, quality, and team development. Relevant competencies (or willingness to work towards them). Ideally an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience.

Willingness to work nights, weekends, and unsociable hours as required.

45,000 + Role Associated Allowances + Location Allowance
