Overview

Ventol Maintenance We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to install, service, maintain, and fault-find a range of electronic security systems across domestic, commercial, and industrial sites. The role requires strong technical

knowledge of intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, with some fire alarm experience desirable as we are a multi-discipline service provider

Responsibilities

Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of intruder alarm systems Installation and servicing of CCTV systems (IP and analogue) Installation and maintenance of access control systems Fault diagnosis and repair of security systems Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance Basic installation and servicing of fire alarm systems (where required) Completing job reports and system documentation Providing excellent customer service on site , communicating effectively with customers and answering any on site queries Ensuring all work complies with current standards and regulations Participating in an on call rota (This will be 1 in 5)

Requirements

Must be able to work out of hours and travel nationwide Proven experience as a Security Engineer or similar role

Strong working knowledge of:

Intruder alarm systems CCTV systems Access control systems Ability to fault-find and work independently Good understanding of security system standards and best practices Full UK driving license Good communication and customer-facing skills Desirable Skills & Qualifications Some experience with fire alarm systems Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. ECS, IPAF, FIA units, manufacturer training) Experience working in commercial environments Network / IP knowledge for CCTV systems Documentation DBS certification (essential and will be undertaken as part of the vetting process). BS7858 vetting to be started. Beneficial certifications: ECS, IPAF, or similar qualifications. Industry based system and equipment training beneficial
