ISS in the UK has 3 operating divisions, including ISS Facility Services Ltd, ISS Mediclean Ltd and ISS Damage Control, employing more than 44,000 people.
The ISS network of operating divisions provides high quality facility services designed to maintain the fabric and appearance of buildings. ISS provides facilities management; cleaning & hygiene services; maintenance and building services; catering; security; landscaping and a wide range of other tailor-made services for customers throughout the Public and Private Sectors.
Overall purpose:
To provide a high quality security service to patients, staff, visitors and contractors within the hospital premises in accordance with the Security Industry Authority (SIA) guidelines and company and Trust specifications
To be responsible for the planning, management, development and financial control of the security service within the Contract and to ensure all contractual, business and legislative obligations and objectives are met.
To identify and manage potential risks within the site and liaise with the Trust to manage and monitor.
Key Responsibilities
Main duties:
To provide direction, guidance and support to all staff within the department to ensure they carry out their roles efficiently and effectively and comply with relevant legislative, ISS and Trust operating standards, policies and procedures.
To plan, allocate and monitor the work of self and team to ensure targets are met, and work is carried out to agreed quality standards, creating conditions for maximum productivity.
To ensure the terms and conditions of the security service specification document are met.
To effectively manage people and resources for the proper operational management of the Contract.
Complete monthly British Standard Audits.
To be responsible for the selection, screening, motivation, development, discipline, safety and general welfare of security staff.
To maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment.
To provide an initial point of contact for customers, staff and other visitors on all matters of security.
To manage and where required, investigate, any incidents and complaints effectively and within ISS, Trust and legislative guidelines.
To liaise with the local Police and maintain good working relationships with the Trust, ISS colleagues and other interested organizations and individuals.
To produce accurate and timely reports and information as required by the Client or the company, including the preparation of assignment instructions, work schedules, patrol routes, business plans, service specific operational policies, implementation of Company led initiatives, health and safety information, risk assessments.
To conduct yourself in a professional manner ensuring confidentiality, privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.
To engage in the process of identifying own personal development and training needs and to attend agreed training requirements.
To adhere to the Company's policy on equal opportunities and fair employment.
Ensure all work carried out is in accordance and in compliance with the Company's Health and Safety policy.
To manage the supply and issue of uniform and equipment to security team, ensuring staff are correctly dressed and smart in appearance.
To undertake any other duties or projects as requested or required in keeping with the grade and purpose of the role.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Front line SIA License in Guarding or Door Supervision and CP+ CCTV Licence (essential)
