Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all security protocols are adhered to while providing excellent customer service.

Duties

Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate and maintain CCTV equipment to ensure effective surveillance of premises. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as needed. Provide first aid assistance when required, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals on-site. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary. Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities for management review. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property. Maintain a visible presence to deter potential criminal activity while promoting a sense of safety among staff and visitors.

Skills

Proficient in surveillance techniques, including the operation of CCTV systems. Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergencies. Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential risks or threats quickly. Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of people. Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing challenging situations. Familiarity with loss prevention methods and strategies is advantageous.
