If you are a dedicated individual with a strong sense of responsibility, we invite you to join our team at The Octagon Shopping Centre as a Security Officer. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our Centre.

Duties include:

- Patrol assigned areas while maintaining a visible presence to help deter illegal and inappropriate actions
- Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address potential security risks
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorised persons, or unusual occurrences
- Provide assistance to tenants, customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Operate security equipment such as CCTV systems and alarm systems
- Perform first aid or emergency procedures as necessary

Requirements:

- Proven work experience as a Security Officer or similar role
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information
- First Aid certification is required
