Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer / Caretaker to join our Facilities Management team at the University of West London in Ealing. This is a permanent role working 55 hours per week, 11 hours per day between the hours of 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday.

Key Activities:

  • Reporting to the Caretaker & Logistics Supervisor
  • To ensure the smooth and safe running of all security services related tasks on contract
  • To provide an excellent level of customer service to the client, external and internal
  • To present and provide a professional and courteous reception service
  • To carry out daily tasks for the team and client, including furniture moves, basic handyperson jobs, work in the grounds, clearance of car park areas, support the post and logistics team or any other ad hoc requests
  • To protect the university estate and associated property
  • To be responsible, in conjunction with security, for the opening and closing of the university buildings
  • To carry out event set ups and ensure all layouts and requests are met within the timescales
  • To escalate any potential service shortfalls
  • Working 55 hours per week, 11 hours per day between the hours of 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid SIA security licence; CCTV licence desirable
  • Must have good knowledge of the Security Industry and Health and Safety
  • Handyperson / Porter experience essential, ideally in a similar environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence is desirable
  • Well organised with strong communication skills and ability to work unsupervised
  • Excellent customer service and reporting skills
  • IT literate / PDA experience is desirable
