Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance, loss prevention, and emergency response, ensuring that all security protocols are adhered to at all times.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as necessary. Provide first aid assistance when required and coordinate with emergency services during critical situations. Enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all personnel on-site. Conduct regular inspections of premises, identifying potential security risks and reporting them to management. Assist in the development and implementation of loss prevention strategies to minimise theft or damage. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities for management review.

Qualifications

Previous experience in security or a related field is advantageous. Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies. Certification in first aid is preferred but not essential; training may be provided. Proficient in operating CCTV systems and other security equipment. Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people. A valid security licence may be required depending on local regulations.
