Working Pattern: The role is to cover holidays and absence for two sites, 1 in Inverness and 1 in Nairn.
Shifts are either 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am.

As a Relief Security Officer, you will work across multiple client sites to ensure a safe and secure environment for all visitors, contractors, and staff.
You will serve as the first line of response during security incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations. Your role will be critical in maintaining a visible and professional security presence, providing assistance when required, and ensuring that all security protocols are upheld.

The Role
Conduct regular internal and external patrols of client facilities, identifying and responding to any suspicious activity or incidents
Act as the first point of contact in emergency situations, ensuring an immediate and appropriate response to incidents
Respond to calls for assistance within common areas and client units as needed
Report and escalate incidents to the appropriate channels, including the Communications Centre, Line Manager, Mobile Supervisor, Client, or Police where necessary
Respond to intruder alarms during night shifts and support individual units accordingly
Maintain accurate and timely records by writing detailed incident and daily occurrence reports
Greet and assist all visitors to the site in a professional, courteous, and approachable manner
Adhere to all company policies, client procedures, and legal obligations relevant to security operations
Undertake induction and training as needed
About You
Valid SIA licence
Proven experience in security or related field
Strong observational and communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights and weekends
New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development
Must be able to pass BPSS, SC and NPPV security vetting
