Job Title: Night Security Officer
Location: Queen's University Belfast
Pay Rate: 13.50 per hour
Hours: Various night shift patterns available
About the Role
We are seeking professional and vigilant Night Security Officers to join the security team at the prestigious Queen's University Belfast. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, visitors, and university property during night-time hours.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols across campus buildings and grounds Monitor CCTV systems to identify and respond to incidents Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security concerns Provide a visible and reassuring security presence around campus Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security records Liaise with local emergency services when required Deliver excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors
Essential Requirements
Valid SIA Security Guard License Valid CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) License Full UK Driving Licence Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
Desirable Attributes
Previous experience in a similar security role Knowledge of university or campus environments First Aid certification
