We are seeking a vigilant and relief Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, preventing loss, and responding promptly to security incidents. Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks. Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to observe activity and detect suspicious behaviour. Implement loss prevention strategies by observing customer and staff activities and intervening when necessary. Respond swiftly and appropriately to security breaches, emergencies, or incidents, including providing first aid if required. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes. Enforce company policies and procedures to uphold safety standards across the site. Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Requirements

Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred. Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques. First aid certification is desirable; training can be provided if necessary. Strong observational skills with an eye for detail and suspicious activity. Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights or weekends if required. A valid security licence or certification as mandated by local regulations is essential. Physical fitness suitable for patrolling large areas and standing for extended periods.
