About The Role:
OCS Group are recruiting for a dedicated Security Officer to work in our Security Operation Centre (SOC). The successful candidate will work at a world-renowned Scientific Research Institute in Hinxton, Cambridgeshire. Successful applicants must be able to provide an efficient and professional security service to the campus clients and visitors, demonstrating the highest level of customer service.
Shift Pattern:
3 days on, 3 nights on and then 3 days off - repeat. All shifts are 12 hours and will include weekends and bank holidays.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Process incoming and outgoing communications in the Security Operations Centre
Monitor BMS, fire panels, access control, cameras and other equipment to provide vital information to dispatched responders
Receive and transmit all security and emergency information over multiple systems including two-way radio, Emergency management systems, Wi-Fi devices, Overhead Page
Collaborate with other on-site personnel to ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and contractors
Ensure the SOC is operated and complies with legal and regulatory requirements such SIA CCTV licensing requirements
Site entry, car park barrier control and traffic Management.
Accurate report writing using computer-based software
Skills and requirements
CCTV SIA Licence
Right to work in the UK, full time
Previous Security experience working within a Security Operations Centre.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Smart and professional appearance, good observation and customer service skills
Ability to use your own initiative and work as part of a diverse team
Computer literate in MS word, Excel and Outlook
Clean UK Drivers Licence and own transport
