Job Description


As a Group Security Operations Manager (SOM) you will be a part of a global team of SOMs who are accountable and responsible for the delivery of our global Security Management System across the group, but distinctly relating to your global geographical area of responsibility acting as a regional single point for security matters, and having a security specialism - Security Assurance, delivering our global security assurance strategy. All SOM\'s have regional security responsibilities and individual specialisms to ensure security consistency and expert delivery. All SOMs need to have a broad understanding of the other SOM roles, and you must be able to use your gained, and taught security knowledge to support the team and wider business to deliver our industry leading security provision.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Set TUI wide security standards by Developing and aligning overarching, frameworks, manual, policies and/or procedures independently for the Group Security Management System in close collaboration with key stakeholders across the TUI Group
  • Build and develop effective working relationships with all business units and external providers to enable the Group Security Team to support the whole TUI Group
  • Ensure that all policy and legal requirements are adhered to by operating within a framework of compliance, which protects customers, colleagues and the wider TUI Group.
  • Communicate relevant security strategic analysis and forecasting to key stakeholders
  • Interact with a wide range of stakeholders, from law enforcement and intelligence agencies to embassies, source markets and destinations
  • Represent TUI Group and attend industry meetings on behalf of and at the direction of the Head of Security
  • Deliver or facilitate security related training for colleagues and hotel teams
  • You will be required to travel to source markets and destinations to ensure the security system, related guidance and processes are being followed, plus to support investigations and any other reasonably expected security activities. (Travel amount can vary depending on the time of year and urgency of the situation)
ABOUT YOU
  • Experience of international security management and the implementation of security strategies
  • A proven understanding of applying risk-based security management system principles
  • Understanding of geopolitics and an understanding of how a security environment can affect tourism business operations in a destination
  • Proven track of experience in hotel security assurance, or audit management
  • Confident in interacting with stakeholders at all levels as well as supervisory authorities.
  • A team player as well as a self-starter to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize and manage expectations and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation and decision making skills.
  • Attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture.
  • High level of ethical principles, professional integrity and resilience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and fluent (verbal and written) in English (mandatory) and also German (desired).
  • The role will require international business travel.
