Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive individual who is skilled in surveillance techniques, loss prevention, and emergency response. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and responding to incidents as they arise.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Monitor CCTV systems to ensure the safety of all areas within the facility. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing first aid when necessary. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes. Collaborate with local law enforcement when required during investigations or emergencies. Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures while promoting a culture of safety among staff and visitors.

Experience

Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, is advantageous. Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and first aid certification will be considered a plus. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and the public.
