Job Title: Security Regional Manager

Job Purpose:
The Retail Security Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing security operations across multiple retail sites within the assigned regions. The role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality security services, achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), compliance with contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and alignment with company financial and operational targets. This includes leading Area Managers, developing client relationships, and maintaining a strong, motivated workforce of security officers.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Oversee day-to-day security operations across multiple retail sites within the region.
Ensure effective deployment, performance, and discipline of security officers and Area Managers.
Conduct regular site visits and audits to assess service delivery, compliance, and operational standards.
Monitor and maintain adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Performance & KPI Management:
Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs related to incident reduction, service delivery, staffing levels, and client satisfaction.
Analyse performance data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
Ensure all sites meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations.
Implement corrective action plans to address underperformance or service gaps.
Financial & Commercial Accountability:
Manage regional budgets, ensuring delivery within agreed financial parameters.
Monitor and maximise contract margins and profitability while maintaining service quality.
Support business growth through cost control, contract retention, and identifying new opportunities.
Prepare financial and operational reports for senior management.
Leadership & People Management:
Lead, motivate, and support Area Managers and site-based security teams to deliver operational excellence.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching, training, and development.
Ensure adequate staffing levels, recruitment, and succession planning.
Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail clients, ensuring satisfaction and trust.
Act as the primary point of contact for client escalations and service issues.
Attend client review meetings to discuss performance, KPIs, SLAs, and improvement plans.
Collaborate with clients to tailor security solutions to changing business needs.
Compliance, Safety & Incident Management:
Ensure compliance with all legal, health & safety, and company security standards.
Oversee incident investigations, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up actions.
Support loss prevention initiatives and contribute to crime reduction strategies across sites.
Communication & Reporting:
Maintain effective communication channels between clients, senior management, and operational teams.
Produce and present regular performance, financial, and incident reports.
Represent the region in internal meetings, audits, and strategic planning sessions.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience in regional or multi-site security management
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, margins, and profitability.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong client relationship management and communication abilities.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security management systems.
Full UK driving licence
Valid SIA License
