We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring brickwork structures with precision and attention to detail. The Brick Mason will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, aesthetic appeal, and longevity of our clients' properties.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, stones, and other masonry materials according to technical specifications and blueprints Prepare surfaces by cleaning, chipping, or applying mortar as needed Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, chisels, and hammers to execute precise masonry work Operate power tools including mixers, saws, and drills safely and efficiently Assist with the installation of related building components such as lintels and arches Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, roofers, and welders to ensure seamless project completion Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times Read and interpret technical drawings and architectural plans accurately

Requirements

Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry work is essential Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to masonry tasks Knowledge of masonry techniques including bricklaying, pointing, and sealing Ability to perform basic carpentry, roofing, or welding tasks is advantageous but not mandatory Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship Physical fitness to handle manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when necessary Valid UK driving licence is preferred for site travel purposes
