Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and efficient Self Employed Couriers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered to the correct locations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate various routes efficiently while adhering to safety regulations.

Must have own MWB/LWB van with necessary insurance (Goods in Transit + Public Liability Insurance + Hire and Reward Van Insurance)

Fixed Day Rate

VAT payed on top of day rate if registered.

Responsibilities

Deliver packages and documents promptly and safely to designated locations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and customer signatures. Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Operate delivery vehicles in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and regulations. Assist in loading and unloading items, which may involve heavy lifting. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with warehouse staff to organise deliveries and manage inventory as needed.

Skills

Previous delivery driver experience is essential, with a strong understanding of navigation systems. Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable. Proficiency in driving various types of vehicles, including vans or lorries, is required. Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
