Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic private dental practice on a part time, self employed basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventative dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality treatment.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough hygiene cleans and examinations to assess patients' oral health. Apply preventative materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental check-ups. Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the patient management system. Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Stay updated with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist registration with the relevant professional body. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. A compassionate approach towards patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout treatments.
