We are seeking a self employed talented and enthusiastic Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hairdressing and beauty services, with a keen eye for detail and excellent customer service skills. This role offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant environment, providing clients with exceptional styling, colouring, and specialised treatments such as eyelash extensions and makeup application. The successful applicant will also have experience in store management, mentoring junior staff, and upselling services to enhance client satisfaction and salon growth.
Responsibilities
Deliver professional hair styling services including cutting, colouring, and styling to meet client needs.
Perform specialised treatments such as eyelash extensions and makeup application to diversify service offerings.
Provide outstanding customer service by understanding client preferences and offering personalised advice.
Manage front desk duties including appointment scheduling, client consultations, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Assist with store management tasks such as stock replenishment, cleanliness, and organisation of the salon environment.
Mentor junior stylists and apprentices to support their development within the salon.
Upsell additional services and retail products to maximise revenue opportunities.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in accordance with industry regulations.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with skills in cutting, colouring, styling, and specialised treatments like eyelash extensions and makeup application.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Experience in store management or supervisory roles is desirable.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour.
Ability to mentor junior staff and foster a positive team environment.
Knowledge of upselling techniques to promote additional services and retail products.
Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple appointments efficiently.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in hairdressing, barbering, or beauty therapy are preferred.
