Job Description

Little Bears Day Care provides childcare for children aged 2-5 years, with three nurseries located in Surrey: Thames Ditton, Walton-on-Thames and Whiteley Village. We are looking for a Handyperson to work 1 - 1.5 days per week across the three sites. This is a self-employed position offering flexibility, with earnings based on the hours worked and tasks completed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of three nurseries.

- Perform general handyperson duties, such as inspecting sites and addressing maintenance issues.

- Conduct basic plumbing works, including reactive repairs and minor installations.

- Clean and maintain outside areas as required.

- Undertake gardening tasks to maintain outdoor spaces.

- Perform carpentry jobs, such as fixing or replacing locks, repairing doors, etc.

- Clear gutters and resolve drain blockages.

- Carry out painting and decorating tasks to ensure properties remain in excellent condition.

- Conduct remedial bathroom and kitchen works as needed.

- Move furniture between sites as required.

Requirements:

- A valid UK driving licence.

- Proven experience in caretaking or multi-skilled maintenance work.

- Flexibility to handle varied tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.

- Excellent communication and customer/people skills.

- A proactive and collaborative team player.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 15.00 per hour
