Job Description

Durham Parcel Delivery Ltd are a small transport business that has been operating for over five years. We are looking for a new driver to join our expanding team as a 3.5t courier working a five day week, Tuesday to Saturday on a self-employed basis.

The position is a long term permanent role for the right applicant.

The role:

Load van daily at our customer depot which is currently in Durham, however we will be moving to Newton Aycliffe early in 2026. Carry out an average of 90/100 delivery drops/collections a day. Willing to work overtime as and when necessary, covering holidays and sickness especially in our peak seasons around Christmas and bank holidays etc. Plan your delivery route with our assistance and available route planning apps. The route available is usually within the TS4 and TS5 postcode areas. Immediate start. Full training provided. Fully funded 3.5t Vehicle and uniform provided. Working a five day week, Tuesday through to Saturday.
You:

Have a can-do attitude and take a flexible approach to your work. Must have held a category B license (car license) for a minimum of three years. Be polite and courteous when carrying out deliveries and collections. Experience in a similar role an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. A basic DBS disclosure is required but costs will be reimbursed.
