Job Description

At Darul Uloom you will teach Martial Arts to pupils aged 11 to 16.

We are a secondary Islamic faith school for boys.

This position is one or two days a week (5-6 hours each day).

The best candidate will be able to effectively support, observe and record the progress of students through well planned lessons with the aim of ensuring a healthy culture of learning constantly at mind.

Day-to-day activities include:

preparing and delivering lessons to KS3/KS4 pupils

giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of pupils' progress and development

selecting and using a range of learning resources

managing pupil behaviour in the classroom

communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress

undergoing regular observations

We are committed to safeguarding to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post will subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring services and check against the ISA barred list for children.
