Bringing music, meaning, and moments of joy to those who need it most in Dementia Care Homes.
Location: ([BR, DA, TN and surrounding areas) | Flexible Hours | Paid per Session

Are you a confident, enthusiastic music/activity leader with a passion for working with older adults? We're looking for a

self-employed Music Activity Leader

to deliver engaging, uplifting dementia-friendly music sessions in care homes across [BR, DA, TN areas].

About the Role:

Sessions may include exercise movement to music, singalongs, live instrumental performance (optional), or interactive rhythm work, whatever inspires connection and participation.

? Lead group music and singing sessions that stimulate memory, encourage movement, spark joy, foster connection and uplift spirits.

? Use familiar songs, rhythm, and interactive elements to engage residents at all stages of dementia.

? Travel to local care homes (schedule agreed in advance).

? Build positive relationships with staff and residents.

About You:

? A confident and compassionate vocalist with experience leading group music activities (formal music qualifications not essential).

? Experience or interest in working with older adults or people with dementia.

? Warm, patient, and confident with older adults and those living with dementia.

? Able to work independently and reliably as a freelancer. Flexible, and self-motivated

? Ability to travel to care homes or community venues. Own transport is preferred.

? Proficient with technology, specifically music devices to play the music.

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

? Self-employed status with appropriate insurance and DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
