Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented
Technical Auditor
to join our certification network. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting
thorough audits
to ensure compliance with halal standards, HACCP protocols, and food safety regulations. This role requires strong
analytical skills
, a solid understanding of
quality assurance principles
, and a solid
foundation in food science
. You will play a crucial role in ensuring halal integrity, identifying areas for improvement, and maintaining the highest quality standards for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct
halal certification audits
(on-site and remote) across food manufacturing, hospitality, and supply chain businesses.
Carry out
comprehensive audits
of operational processes and systems to ensure compliance with halal standards, HACCP, ISO, and other relevant regulations.
Review
ingredients, formulations, and production processes
for halal compliance.
Analyse data and prepare
detailed audit reports
, highlighting non-compliance and recommending corrective actions.
Collaborate with client teams to implement
quality assurance measures
and improve operational efficiency.
Monitor and follow up on the effectiveness of corrective actions taken.
Provide
training and support
to staff on halal compliance, HACCP, and quality assurance requirements.
Stay updated on
industry standards, halal regulations, and best practices
in food safety and auditing.
Requirements
?
Education:
Degree in
Food Science, Food Technology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related field
.
?
Experience:
Proven experience in
auditing, quality assurance, or related field
(halal auditing experience highly desirable).
? Familiarity with
HACCP protocols
and food safety regulations.
? Strong analytical skills with the ability to
interpret complex data sets
.
? Excellent
attention to detail
and organisational skills.
? Clear, professional
communication and reporting skills
.
? Willingness to
travel to client sites
across the UK (and occasionally overseas).
? Must be
self-employed
in the UK (or able to invoice as a contractor).
Desirable Skills
ISO 22000 / HACCP / BRCGS auditor qualification.
Previous experience working with
halal certification bodies
.
Multilingual skills (Arabic, Urdu, Malay, or other relevant languages).
